Using Stream Deck in VR, using the DF B407 as an example

Elgato’s Stream Deck is a handy tool if you are a streamer/content creator. Our reader Rob Roy has taken it a step forward and started using it in VR.

Using Stream Deck in VR with the DreamFoil Creations Bell 407

Simmers tend to be inventive and see other uses for stuff that wasn’t thought out to be used the way we do.

Rob saw potential in Elgato’s Stream Deck for something other than streaming or broadcasting content. He started using it in VR to access those functions that may not be available in the virtual world – such as the DreamFoil B407’s menus – and decided to publish some videos about it.

The series, as well as a description and links for all the hardware and software used, can be found at the .org forums.

While not exactly a cheap piece of hardware, those that already own it (or are looking for such a solution) can leverage its use in VR and have access to some great, programmable, features.
