Version 5 of the X-Rotors AW139 for X-Plane 11 is “the result of introducing a new Blender-based workflow for modeling and animations”. But the changes aren’t just cosmetics as the team has now implemented a simulation of the Primus EPIC® Phase 7 software.
This version took X-Rotors 2 and a half years to develop, and the team says this will be the “very last one for XP11”. A version for X-Plane 12 is in the works, which “will be improved” and will ”receive all the fine tunings requested by the new engine and flight model”.
According to X-Rotors, “the amount of code lines written to override X-Plane has never been so remarkably high”.
