In case you didn’t know, PilotEdge is a paid ATC service for sims. Yes, paid, for a good reason, as it provides professional ATC services. That means actual ATC professionals are part of the network and do what they do in their daily jobs, but also for virtual pilots.

For the 4th year in a row, PilotEdge is hosting SimVenture 2023, which mimics the real AirVenture at Oshkosh and the ATC controllers that will be at the virtual event are the actual ones that will also be at the real event! How cool is that?

PilotEdge is calling helicopter pilots to be part of the event: “While the helicopters don’t talk to the tower, they still must monitor the tower frequency as they operate very close to all of the other traffic. We encourage heli ops since they provide a lot of great traffic for all of the fixed wing operating into and out of the airport.”

You can join the event with MSFS (2020), X-Plane 11/12, Prepar3D, or FSX and you will also need to have a PilotEdge account but here’s something else that is cool: you can use the free trial that PilotEdge has available!

Find all the details at the official website as there is A LOT of information there and let’s populate the skies so that virtual pilots all over the world can also enjoy the company of helicopters!
