Flight Simulation Discussion Panel: The Future of Flight Simulation

Jul 30, 2020 | by Sérgio Costa

A few days ago, a group of community members, spanning across several areas of flight simulation, sat down and discussed the future of the hobby. Here is the video.

As we reach the end of #FlyJuly, several of Flight Sim's biggest names got together to discuss the future of flight simulation. Collectively, Evan (FlightSimExpo), Calum (FSElite), Sérgio (HeliSimmer.com), Jarrad (Orbx), Andrew (POSCON) and Magnus (Threshold) discussed how they see the next few months unfolding for the world of simulation and how we're entering an important moment in the community's history.

In-depth discussions surrounding the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator, how this is impacting developers and also where Lockheed Martin and Laminar Research will hold their own whilst simmers have all-new options for how they take to the virtual skies.

Join all of us on this truly collaborative and community-driven panel discussion raising interesting questions and points as we breakthrough into the new era of flight simulation.

About Sérgio Costa

Sérgio has been a flight simulation enthusiast for nearly 25 years. His passion with helicopters developed during MSFS 2000 when he discovered the complexity of these aircraft and the challenge it was to control them.

Since then he has been primarily a helicopter flight simmer, trying his best not to crash and kill all his virtual passengers.

Sérgio is HeliSimmer.com's editor and writer and one of the Three Grumpy Simmers, a YouTube series and Podcast produced together with YouTubers Bel Geode and NovaWing24, obviously dedicated to flight simulation.
