FGUK has been slowly working on an update for the original Bo105 that shipped with FlightGear. The team has branched out the original helicopter and improving it.
The WS70 never entered production but the British-built BlackHawk had 2 prototypes, one of them equipped with Rolls-Royce engines. Weird? Yeah. A bit. But FGUK is bringing it to the virtual world.
FGUK continues to update their fleet of helicopters for FlightGear. The Lama was next in line and the team already released version 1.2.
The team released the update they have been working for some time.
If you are a user of the open-source simulator and a fan of the 500, you’re in for a treat.
Version 1 of the helicopter is out and as, FGUK puts it, it’s a “refinement of the previous BETA version”.
Version 1.3 is out as FGUK continues their efforts to update their virtual fleet.
It looks the good folks at FGUK are spending more time working on the helicopters than enjoying them!
The event, which will take place at the world’s busiest heliport, will take place on February 7th, 2021.
