Pre Release Kit (PRK) Upgrade
This kit is aimed at the 4th generation PUMA owners, and it will be offered as a limited edition.
The kit will contain:
- The PUMA X2 collective (twin engine)
- 5th gen PCB and special attachment adapter
- Quick Adjustment Kit (QAK) which contains 4 clamping lever for quick adjustment of the collective arm’s position
This version will be sold at US$499.
Pre Release Kit (PRK) Standalone
This kit is for those that do not own a PUMA but still want to get the collective.
It includes:
- The PUMA X2 collective (twin engine)
- A 5th gen PCB
- The Quick Adjustment Kit
- Multi Attachment Kit, which allows you to attack the collective to an office chair, for example (see images).
This will also be a limited edition and will cost you US$549.
Once the kit is officially released, the prices will change.
The limited edition will be really limited, with a batch of only 30 units planned. Therefore, Pro Flight Trainer will be accepting pre-reserves of these kits. Anyone wanting to take advantage of the lower price will need to place a non-refundable $49 deposit (which will account for the shipping cost).
The pre-production kits are scheduled to start shipping in July 2022.
After this pre-release batch is gone, you'll have to acquire the collective at the standard prices.
Release version
This will be the only option available, at US$599 and it will come with:
- The PUMA X2 collective (twin engine)
- 5th gen PCB and special attachment adapter
For all these options shipping to Europe, USA and Canada will cost US$49.
Options
Pro Flight Trainer is also making the Quick Adjustment Kit and the Multi Attachment Kit available to all clients:
Quick Adjustment Kit: US$49
Multi Attachment Kit US$49
Upgrading from the collective
And, finally, something very interesting: if you get a standalone collective, you will be able to upgrade to the full kit further down the road.
This means that you can just get the collective if you already have a joystick and pedals, but you can get the rest of the frame at a later stage, instead of making the whole investment in the beginning.
The X Frame Kit (that’s what it’s called) will cost you US$999. And, in this case, you will not need the PCB, since it’s already included when you get the collective.
Visit the Pro Flight Trainer website for more information and to get in touch with the company if you are interested in any of these options.
