FGUK, the team behind, well… Most of the helicopters in FlightGear is back with another release. This time it’s the British-built WS-61 Sea King.
As FGUK states, this is quite a different helicopter from the American counter part “with Rolls-Royce Gnome engines (derived from the US General Electric T58), British-made anti-submarine warfare systems and a fully computerised flight control system” and was built by Westland.
The company also developed a specific version that would transport troops called the “Commando”.
