I was lucky enough to be able to do 3 presentations at FlightSimExpo (2019, 2023 and 2024), which should help newcomers navigate the hard path of becoming a virtual helicopter pilot.
On the first video, I talked about the very fundamentals of helicopter flight simulation. From selecting your sim to computer settings to how to set up your controls, you will find a lot of information, including some tips to help you get started.
The second video will be mostly about how to set yourself up for success with training routines. I cover everything from selecting a place to practice, setting up your weights and weather, suggesting some routines and, hopefully, inspiring you to maintain coherence and discipline throughout your practice sessions.
In the third video, which you can watch above, I cover everything about controls. What’s on the market, my advice and suggestions.
