For the tl;dr folks, here's the concept: SwissCreations came up with a pack that adds a huge amount of options to DreamFoil's splendid AS350 for X-Plane.
And I mean HUGE AMOUNT of options.
We're talking wirecutters, different sets of mirrors, passengers, different baskets, different sets of seats, a lot of interior tweaks and improvements. As you can see in the images below (and on the menu options above) the mirror combination alone is insane!
Want more skids? Here's more skids.
Snowskids? You got it!
You can even add a floor window (you can actually select from several versions) for those demanding slingload jobs.
Or, better yet, you can have the SRS MPVK (Maximum Pillot View Kit) installed for the best view in the house.
The amount of different possible combinations is astonishing and that alone should allow you to have your very own AS350, configured the way you love the most. But that's not all.
The good folks at SwissCreations were crazy enough to add the almight AS350B3e, armed with a more powerful engine (which will give you some extra 100hp) and a different cockpit layout.
On the screenshot below, you can see the B3e cockpit along with a 3rd radio (COM 3 on the left) and an iPad on the center. You can add these two to the regular B3+ as well.
These folks are insane. They did a tremendous job and you'll forgive me for not posting screenshots of every single tiny detail they added. It would just be a screenshot fest.
The team is currently working to compile the plugins for Mac as well, so these users will be able to enjoy all these new features.
Also, the previous pack only worked on X-Plane 10. This one now supports X-Plane 11.
There is no date of release but I know the team is only waiting for the Mac plugin to be finished so that they can release it.
On a side note, the team has recently posted the following on their Facebook Page:
Short after we are going to release our brand-new AlpineHoist, a unique plugin for aerial work fans, which will feature a mode for placing objects anywhere you want, lift them and then drop your load where you want, trough the RADIO COMMUNICATIONS from a loadmaster.
The sad news is that it seems the plugin will only be released for X-Plane 10. We already contacted them about this and they may look into X-Plane 11 shortly. Right now they are struggling with this version because of some breaking changes in the sim.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, let's hope this update gets out fast as all of the AS350 fans out there NEED to get their hands on it! It's that good guys. Better, even.
