These have been crazy times. Pretty much every hardware manufacturer I have been talking to through the last years tells me the same: parts are hard to source.
And when they do manage to source them, prices are high. Higher. Soaring.
This makes it very hard for companies to be able to keep their prices while still making a profit – which is kind of needed to put food on the table, buying clothes, getting your kids through school, you know… Secondary stuff.
We have all been seeing some price changes and they have not been pleasant. First of all because those price changes have been in the wrong direction (upwards) and second of all because, sometimes, those changes are not small.
But today, we have some good news, coming from our friends at VIRPIL. The company has announced some price changes. In the right direction (downwards)!
Here’s what they said on their Facebook page:
Today we are announcing a price adjustment to the VIRPIL Controls catalogue.
We have been working behind the scenes to set up new supply chains, and agree price freezes with our supplier and logistics partners which has allowed us to reduce some of our costs.
As this community has continued to support us, we aim to return that favour wherever possible. As a result, we are pleased to announce a price reduction on the VIRPIL Controls webstores by up to 20%!
Just to be clear, this is not a sale or a temporary decrease. VIRPIL managed to find a way to actually reduce the prices of their catalog and pass that decrease to us, the customers.
And that’s great news!
