Shrike 530F for MSFS

If you visit the official page for the website, you won’t really find a lot of information about the product, but don’t let that discourage you: despite the release being made by Blackbirds’ child brand, that doesn’t mean this is less of a product. It is not, and I wish people that don’t get any information about the 530F elsewhere could find a bit more about what the product offers.

The 530F has been through an internal beta program, where I managed to try it out with the rest of the team. At the time I did it, there was not a lot more that needed to be done, on a helicopter that – granted – is not too hard, but there are still some quirks. Especially because Microsoft and Asobo still need to fix the turbine engine modeling in the sim.

I won’t make this a review, but I will try to step in and talk about what the helicopter offers as I do feel it should be made some justice.

Shrike’s MD530F offers you the ability to fly this helicopter in both civilian and military (weaponized) versions. The weapons do not work [I should have rephrased this better] work but don't do any damage. Still, the little helicopter looks menacing! It also comes with 10 liveries.

There are a few options to customize the helicopter and the flight dynamics are quite nice. This is a product that is supposed to be an “affordable, quality, jump-in-and-fly aircraft that offers maximum enjoyment without breaking the bank”, but, again, I do not believe that makes it any justice as it is a lot more than that.

You can get the Shrike 530F today at the company’s official website.
