ORBX ENHF Hammerfest Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

“Located at 71° North the town of Hammerfest is regarded as the northernmost town in the world with more than 10,000 residents. During the summer months, there is continuous daylight which is the natural phenomenon known as the midnight sun, while during winter, the sun does not rise above the horizon.”

That’s how ORBX starts to describe Hammerfest and, at least for me, that is enough to send some chills down my spine. For some reason, these far-away regions of the world (both on the North and South) resonate with me. I love flying in these areas, perhaps because they are so unforgiving.

ORBX decided to bring this airport to Microsoft Flight Simulator and the screenshots and video the company has released show a very interesting and highly detailed portion of the world.

And, before you ask, yes. Here it is:

It does have helipads. One, at least. But a lot more to discover. Check out the official list of features below and head out to ORBX’s website for more details (and, eventually, get this scenery). I am definitely grabbing it.
