The S-55 (which is also known as the H-19 Chickasaw) is a weird-looking veteran helicopter from the 1950s that has seen action in the Korean and the Vietnam wars. It played an important role in the initial formulation of Army doctrine regarding air mobility and the battlefield employment of troop-carrying helicopters and entered service in over 25 countries.
