Havana is not exactly a city filled with helipads and landing spots for helicopters, but Litoral Studio decided that wouldn’t stop them from making something cool for the rotorheads.

The Havana scenery covers an area of 77 square kilometers (around 30 square miles) of the city of Havana and that was the team focus: the city. There’s no airport modeled, just the city, which has been worked on for the last couple of years by the team, to offer a great rendition of the Cuban capital.

The team added quite a few features to enrich the scenery:

  • Iconic buildings with real detailed textures
  • Static vehicles
  • Static boats
  • Dynamic lights
  • Night Textures
  • Animated objects (smokestacks)
  • Reflections on glass cockpit

And, like I said, they also added something for us, virtual helicopter pilots. The lack of helipads didn’t stop the team and they made quite a few of the rooftops landable.

These are not documented, though and it’s up to us to find them out! If you get this scenery and have some fun finding these landable buildings, make sure you add a comment at the bottom of this page and show us those locations. It sure will be bun to check that out!

Meanwhile appreciate the screenshots above and the comparison shots below.
