I’ve seen some reports of users having issues with the VIRPIL collectives as they mention they don’t have enough fine control. I have to say that I never felt that as I thoroughly tested the VIRPIL collective system but we are not all the same, so different people will have different experiences and needs.
Laserwing decided to do something about it and has created a counterweight system that easily attaches to the collective base, allowing you, in theory, to reduce or remove the friction of the clutch system and just use the opposing forces, on both sides of the pivot point to better control it.
The Counterweight System for Virpil Collective is available on Etsy as is manufactured by a community member and it will cost you around US$75 + shipping. Reviews on the website seem to point it out as a great product so it may be worth taking a look at it if you are having problems controlling your VIRPIL collective.
