All right this may not sound like a huge deal, especially since HPG has been releasing update after update. What’s one more, right?
Well, wrong.
This update is actually a big deal. It marks the point at which the product is feature complete. And the fact that HPG has been releasing so many updates means that the H145 has been going through intensive testing.
The HPG H145 reached version 1.0. The first full major version.
This has been quite a ride with lots of work from the team, and quite the evolution, in pretty much all aspects. The HPG H145 has matured and grown and it has become quite an interesting addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
So, after 18 months of hard work, a major release out the door, and all the stuff that HPG has put into it, what’s next? Are they done?
Of course not. The 40th-anniversary edition of MSFS is less than one month away. That’s Sim Update 11 and it brings… Helicopters. Native helicopter support, to be exact. I’ll just direct you to this video here where you can check out all about it.
With the update, more work will be coming in the team’s direction as they will have to learn the SDK differences and get their helicopter to work with the new systems.
If you are a Hype Performance Group customer, you probably already got their email, and you may have noticed something at the end: “We are also beginning to prepare for our next helicopter”.
Oh yes, I’ll make sure to ask them.
