Hemet Ryan Airport (KHMT) is home to a Cal Fire Attack Base, and also the Riverside County Sheriff's Aviation Unit. This means we can find some S-70 FireHawks there, but also a few AS350 and a rescue H-145. So, right out of the bat, it sounds great for helicopter pilots since it’s also a helicopter base.
Flyin’ J Simulations populated the place with some helicopters, so we can find AS350s, S-64s, and S-70s. This automatically gives it that helibase vibe, right? Well, they went a step further, though, and we can also find some heli-trailers to provide us with a bit of a landing challenge as well.
The scenery was produced using actual photos and satellite data, to make it look as close to the real one as possible. Custom ground textures, taxiway signs, and night lighting were added and Flyin’ J Simulations expanded the scenery a bit, by including a solar field, which can be found “on the approach end to runway 23”.
