Transitional flight: from FSX to X-Plane
The history of home flight simulation began over 20 years ago in 1982 when subLOGIC and Microsoft released the first version. From them on, different generations of aviation enthusiasts dived into a world of adventure and learning. Nowadays, there are other simulators out there that rival – and even surpass – Microsoft's simulator. How hard or how easy it is to transition from FSX to those other simulators? That's what I challenged myself to do. Starting with X-Plane.

Paris VFR for FSX and P3D is now available
France FVR has released their newest scenery: Paris-Ile de France VFR (or Paris VFR) for FSX and P3D. Judging from the screenshots the gorgeous city of light looks absolutely fantastic. The guys at France VFR seem to have done a terrific job.

If I'd have to mention one of the things that I see most of the time I fly helicopters, that would have to be the ground, as I crash a lot. The second would have to be trees (I also crash against them -- except inside cities; there I usually make huge holes on buildings). Trees are pretty much everywhere and, let's face it, they're not that pretty in FSX and P3D. Especially in FSX. ORBX decided to change that with their FTX Trees HD.
